SAGAMORE, OH - Alice M. Dickinson, 94, formerly of 34 Cooper Ave., Wallingford, and beloved wife of the late D. Stephen Dickinson departed this life on Sunday, July 13, 2008 in Ohio. Alice was born in Ilion, NY, on April 17, 1914 daughter of the late Harold B. & Lena M. (Lawton) March. Until her retirement, she was the owner and operator of the Wallingford Telephone Answering Service. Alice was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Wallingford, the Cut-up Club of Wallingford, Susannah Circle of church & United Methodist Women. She had also served as treasurer of the church for 14 years, prior to her retirement. She is survived by two sons, David Stephen Dickinson, Jr. of CT, John William Dickinson of, MD, a daughter, Gayle D. Curnow and her husband Richard of OH, 6 grandchildren and one great granddaughter. She was predeceased by a brother, Albert March and a sister, Ruth Stayman. Relatives and friends may call on Thursday, July 17, 2008 from 3 – 6 PM at the B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 S. Elm Street, Wallingford. A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 18th at 10 AM at the 1st United Methodist Church of Wallingford, 941 Old Rock Hill Road, Wallingford. Interment will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery. In lieu of floral tributes it is suggested that gifts in her memory be directed to the 1st United Methodist Church of Wallingford Memorial Fund, 941 Old Rock Hill Rd, Wallingford, CT 06492.
