Dear Tom and Rich,
I was so sorry to hear of your mom’s passing away on Friday. Over the years we would run into each other while shopping at Stop and Shop or at our bank in Wallingford. She always seemed so happy to catch up with things with our family.
When my mom passed away last year, she came to the service and calling hours and it warmed all our hearts to have her there. She said that she wanted to come and say goodbye to Sylvia, who was one of her bridesmaids at her wedding. Her comment was "Sylvia is still beautiful".
We all have wonderful memories of our get-togethers in the 40s and 50s when we were all kids. Our parents seemed to all have so much fun together. Those were great times and we enjoy looking at the old movies of us all and seeing those happy times.
Your mom had old-fashioned ‘spunk’ to keep driving and not giving up to ‘old age’. We hope we will handle old age as well as she did.
God bless her!
