WALLINGFORD - Mary P. Mezzi, 92 of Southside Terrace died Friday, February 9, 2007 at the Regency House of Wallingford. She was the wife of the late Michael Mezzi Jr. She was born in Alpha, New Jersey June 21, 1914 a daughter of the late Louis and Mary Toth Penci. Until her retirement she was a seamstress at the former Joseph Feldman Co. Mary was an active participant in the Adult Education Program of Wallingford and the Wallingford Public Library discussions. She is survived by her beloved daughter Mary Ann and son-in-law Donald Joseph Dondero. The family cat Annie was her constant companion and caregiver. The family is grateful to the Visting Nurse Assoc. of Wallingford for giving Mary quality care and a sense of dignity. Thank you Rose and Sharon. She also leaves several nieces and nephews who she adored and a sister-in-law Josephine Mezzi. She was predeceased by her sisters Esther Penci, Irene Marks and brothers Louis Penci, Jr. Joseph Pence and Albert Penci. Mary was also predeceased by a niece Joyce Pence Smith. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, February 13, 2007 at 2 p.m. at In Memoriam Cemetery in Wallingford. There are no calling hours.
