WALLINGFORD – Barbara T. Combs, 83, formerly of 44 Lupine St., died Monday, January 29, 2007 at the MidState Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Robert Combs. She was born in Buffalo, NY, August 10, 1923 a daughter of the late William and Lena Szabo Toth. Barbara was a member of the First Baptist Church of Wallingford. She is survived by a daughter, Linda Drost and her husband Robert of Meriden; a brother, William Toth, Jr. of Wallingford; a grandson, Ian Drost; a cousin, Gladys Cannata of Wallingford; and several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by a sister, Irene (Toth) Wargo. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 1st at 10:00 am in the chapel of the B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 South Elm Street. Burial will be at In Memoriam Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. Barbara's family extends their thanks and gratitude to the staff at MidState Hospital, Skyview Center and the Visiting Nurses Association of Wallingford – especially Judy Lounsbury, R.N. and Betsy Carta for Barbara's excellent care the past several years.
