MERIDEN – Mildred (VanDerMaelen) MacKenzie, 91, of 380 Crown Street, died Monday January 29, 2007 at The Curtis Home in Meriden. Born May 30, 1915 in Brunswick, ME to the late John and Grace Talbot Ambrose. Wife of the late Ralph MacKenzie, Sr., and predeceased by first husband, John VanDerMaelen, Sr. She is survived by two sons Roger VanDerMaelen of Mumford, AL and David VanDerMaelen of Wallingford, a brother, Rev. Chet Ambrose of Meriden, fifteen grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren and one great-great grandson and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by eight sisters and four brothers, two sons, one daughter and one grandson. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 31, 2007 at the B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 South Elm St., Wallingford at 1:00 p.m.. Burial will be at In Memoriam Cemetery, Wallingford.
