WALLINGFORD – Francis J. Lawry, 80, of 34C Pilgrim's Harbor, passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2006 at the MidState Medical Center after a long illness. He was the husband of Lenore Docherty Lawry. He was born in Brooklyn, NY, June 16, 1926 a son of the late Morton and Margaret Connolly Lawry. Francis was a graduate of the Fort Schuyler Maritime College in the Bronx, NY. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Merchant Marines. He worked for DeLaval Separator Company in Poughkeepsie, NY for many years prior to coming to Wallingford thirty years ago. At that time, he had his own consulting business. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a sister, Rita MacLean of Hamilton, NJ and a brother, Edward Lawry of Vero Beach, FL and several nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to attend a mass of Christian Burial on Friday (TODAY) at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of the Resurrection, 115 Pond Hill Rd. Burial will be private. There are no calling hours.
