Obituary of Elizabeth Marie Urquhart

Wallingford - Elizabeth Urquhart, 88, beloved mother, grandmother, and wife, was called to her eternal resting place on July 10, 2017.

Elizabeth was born on August 8, 1928 in New Haven, CT to the late William & Marie McInnis. She spent her early years growing up in New Haven and shortly after graduating from high school, she met her husband, Harold. After she and Harold were married, they resided in Florida for a few years before ultimately settling in Wallingford, CT. It was in Wallingford that she and Harold would raise their family and create a life that she loved so dearly.

Elizabeth is survived by her loving children: Susan Urquhart of Meriden and Dennis Urquhart of Wallingford. Beside her children, she leaves behind two granddaughters: Alicia Mares and Shannon Urquhart, a grandson Keith Urquhart and nine great-grandchildren.

Elizabeth was a gentle and vibrant soul with an unquenchable thirst for life. Her family was of the utmost importance to her and she dedicated her life to showing them the true meaning of a mother's love. Throughout her entire life, Elizabeth had a very close and special bond with both her son and daughter. She would enjoy lunch dates with her son as well as her bingo nights with her daughter. She took pleasure in gathering with friends and her outgoing personality was treasured by all who knew her.
