We had a wonderful business relationship with Eric for over two decades. He was great to work with and he became a good friend. He was extremely knowledgeable and was always able to create Interior spaces that worked for both our clients and for us. He would do whatever it would take to get a project together and was especially good at crunch time. We will surely miss him. Fondly, everyone at Putnam Park and the Henney family.

It is so sad to learn of Eric's passing. He was so helpful with genealogical research at the Southington History Center and I will always remember our many conversations as we searched for our respective ancestors. To his extended family: He always spoke of his family with such love and endearment. He will be missed.

We are so sorry to hear of Eric's passing. He was one of those people who touch lives without realizing it. He was a fountain of knowledge and loved to share with others. Because of that sharing many of our research journeys have been made easier. Our prayers are with him and his family. May the Lord bless them all and wrap them in the arms of His love.

We are sad to hear of the passing of Eric. He was an immense resource for the Southington Family History Center. As a volunteer librian he was always willing to willing to go the extra mile in assisting people beginning to research their ancestors. On one occasion a person he had never met came needing assistance to begin research. Eric took a few notes and went home and found some information, and very neatly wrote it down with references and returned the next week. The person never returned, but Eric did not complain, he was satisfied that he had done some good. Eric, a good guy, he will be missed!

We only knew Eric as a partner in genealogical research at the Family History Center in the Southington Church of Latter Day Saints. We spent hours with him as we all worked, trading stories of ancestors and the thrills and woes of research...and occasionally swapping stories of our dogs. Although none of us were Mormons, we all took our librarian status seriously and had keys to open the research center up to the public. Eric was the kindest and most welcoming of librarians, always ready to share his knowledge and encourage those who came to find their ancestors. Then, suddenly, we started coming to an empty place. For several weeks no familiar gold car in the parking lot, no friendly face in the office, no answer when I texted him, no Eric. A quick Google search sadly brought us here, but with no obit or other clues as to what happened to our friend. Our hearts go out to him, to his work clients who depended on his able draftsmanship and design, and to his Labrador who must be missing him. Eric, we especially feel your loss because it was so sudden to us, so unknowing; and with no chance to say goodbye. Every time we come to do our research, you will be with us in spirit, and never forgotten. Barbara and Alan McWhirter
