WALLINGFORD - Janet B. Kapish, 77, of Wallingford, departed this life on Sunday, April 4, 2010 at the home of her dear friend Sandy Sandusky. Janet was born on July 8, 1932, in Meriden, CT daughter of Matthew Kapish and Nell Ritz. She was a graduate of Albertus Magnus, and also attended Quinnipiac University, and later obtained her Masters Degree in Public Health from Yale. She retired after a career of over 35 years with the State of Connecticut Department of Public health where she served as the Director of Environmental Chemistry. Janet was an avid UCONN Basketball fan and also an avid fan of the University of Hartford Basketball Team. She was a communicant of Most Holy Trinity Church in Wallingford. She is survived by her sister: Judy Reddington and her husband James of Florida. She also leaves a nephew Thomas Affinito of California, along with numerous friends. Relatives and friends may call on Tuesday (TODAY) April 6th from 4 - 7 PM at the B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 S. Elm Street, Wallingford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 7th at 10:30 AM at Most Holy Trinity Church in Wallingford. Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery in Wallingford. Memorial contributions may be directed to the charity of one's choice.
