Obituary of Marjorie Burrill
Marjorie Burrill,83, of Meriden, beloved wife of William Burrill, departed this life on Saturday, February 27, 2010 at the Meriden Center.
Marjorie was born on November 6, 1926 in Presque Isle, ME daughter of the late Frank and Ida (Niles) Beckwith. On June 13, 1948 she married William and they spent over 61 years of loving marriage together. She was a homemaker most of her life, taking wonderful care of her family. In her spare time she enjoyed tending to her rose garden and crafting. Marjorie was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Wallingford where she was a member of the Women's Guild.
She will be sadly missed by her husband William of Meriden and her daughter Carol Christiansen and her husband Brent of Boise, ID. She also leaves two grandchildren: Jay Christiansen and his wife Savannah of Rexburg, ID and Amy Christiansen of Boise, ID. She also leaves a beloved great granddaughter, Karlee Christiansen of Rexburg, ID. Marjorie also leaves a brother, Russell Beckwith and his wife Marjorie of Lebanon, ME, and a sister, Marion Beckwith of Wallingford. She is preceded in death by her brother Roland Beckwith and a sister Elizabeth Beckwith.
Relatives and friends may call on Thursday, March 4th from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Wallingford. A funeral service will held at 11:00 AM on Thursday also at the First Baptist Church of Wallingford. Interment will follow at In Memoriam Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the First Baptist Church of Wallingford's Women's Guild, 114 N. Main Street, Wallingford, CT 06492. The B. C. Bailey Funeral Home of Wallingford has been entrusted with arrangements.
