WALLINGFORD - Nicholas Dell'Aquila, 89, of Wallingford, beloved husband of the late Christine Dell'Aquila, departed this life on Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in New Haven, September 28, 1921 son of the late Stephen and Jennie (D'Erico) Dell'Aquila. He was a World War ll veteran, serving in the U.S. Army. Until his retirement he was employed as a truck driver for Plasticrete in North Haven. He was a communicant of the Church of the Resurrection in Wallingford and the Meriden-Wallingford Chapter No. 6 D.A.V. in Meriden. He is survived by two step-sons, John Ruocco of Wallingford and Richard Ruocco of Branford, one brother, James Dell'Aquila of New Haven, a sister, Elizabeth Landino, of East Haven, 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Relatives and friends may call on Monday, January 4th from 4 - 7 PM at the B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 S. Elm St, Wallingford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, January 5th at 10:30 AM at the Church of the Resurrection in Wallingford. Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery in Wallingford.
