WALLINGFORD � Fred W. Holbrook, 82, born in Brockton, Mass., passed away on October 29, 2009 at the Masonic Healthcare Center. Fred was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was a Mason. He was a single parent in the 50s and 60s. Prior to his retirement, he worked for Alleghany Ludlum. He is survived by his daughter, Linda Holbrook of New Britain, his cockatiel, Harriet, and his sister, Josie Rezendes of West Bridgewater, Massachusetts. He also leaves his best friend Dave Woronick, wife Anna and family, who were a 2nd family to him. A special thanks is given to the staff members and volunteers at Masonic who gave extra of themselves in caring for Fred. A memorial service with casual dress will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2009 at 11:00 am at the Chapel of the Masonic Healthcare Center, 22 Masonic Ave., Wallingford.
