Obituary of Dorothy Lewis Hubbard

WALLINGFORD � Dorothy Lewis Hubbard, 98, formerly of Ashlar Village died Oct. 4, 2009, at the Masonic Healthcare Center. She was the wife of the late George Hubbard. Mrs. Hubbard was born and raised in Meriden. She moved to Fairfield in 1937, where her late husband, George established a printing firm of which she was secretary. Her civic and social activities were highlighted by the Presidency of Woodfield Village (now Family Service-Woodfield). Dorothy moved to Ashlar Village in 1991. She leaves two sons, George R. Hubbard III of Chesapeake, Va., John H. Hubbard and wife, Betty of Jamestown, R.I., four grandchildren, David C. Hubbard of Hauppauge, N.Y., Robert W. Hubbard of Madison, John H. Hubbard, Jr. of Cleveland Heights, Ohio and Martha Hubbard of Portland, Ore.; four great-grandsons, Benjamin Hubbard and Douglas Hubbard of Hauppauge, N.Y. and Cameron and Christian Hubbard of Madison; and two great-granddaughters, Maya and Emma Hubbard of Cleveland Heights, Ohio. Private funeral services and interment will take place at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Masonic Charity Foundation, P.O.
