Aldina C. Castello, 85, of Wallingford, departed this life on Friday, October 2, 2009 at the Masonic Healthcare Center in Wallingford. She was the wife of the late Romeo Richard. Aldina was born on May 8, 1924, in Tauton, MA, daughter of the late Joseph and Maria Casanova. She had graduated from the Boston Latin School, married her husband with whom she raised five children and retired as a mortgage loan officer with the former Dime Savings Bank. She will be sadly missed by her sons: Richard, Robert and William, daughter, Elizabeth Engels, and 10 grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her son, David Bernard Castello. A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 5 at 6:00 pm at the B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 S. Elm St., Wallingford.
