Isabelle C. Ferguson, 91, of Wallingford, departed this life on September 21, 2009 at her home. She was the loving wife of the late Dr. James Ferguson. Isabelle was born on October 29, 1917, in New Haven, CT, a daughter of the late Warren and Ruth (Berger) Crawford. Isabelle was a graduate of Smith College and worked as a teacher at the Day School in New Haven before retirement. In addition to singing with the choir of the First Congregational Church of Wallingford for close to 50 years, she accompanied the choir on the organ for many years. In her free time, she enjoyed golfing and playing tennis. She also actively volunteered throughout the community She will be sadly missed by her daughter, Suzanne Nicolino of Wallingford; her sons, Dr. James Ferguson and his wife Joan of Bloomington, IN, Dr. John Ferguson and his wife Marky of Underhill, VT, and Malcolm Ferguson and his wife Yvette of Wallingford; her 10 Grandchildren and 8 Great grandchildren. All services will be private and at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. The B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 S. Elm Street, Wallingford has been entrusted with the arrangements.
