WALLINGFORD � Edith Ferguson Beckley, 93, of 56 Simpson Ave. died Friday, August 28, 2009 at the Masonic Healthcare Center. She was the wife of the late Wallace Eugene Beckley. She was born in New Haven, December 15, 1915 a daughter of the late Charles E. and Lena Gribus Ferguson. Until her retirement, Edith worked at Choate School for 24 years. She was a member of the Northford Congregational Church. She is survived by two daughters, Kay Elizabeth Beckley of Sanford, FL and Barbara Jane Dake & husband Craig of Wallingford, a brother, Lowell Ferguson of W. Pawlet, VT, two grandchildren, Anthony Curti & Lisa Dake & 3 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by 5 brothers, Fred, Floyd, Earl, Tracy & Philo Ferguson & 6 sisters, Alma Bayne, Doris Messier, Gertrude Salg & Elsie Kastakovich, Juliet Kumnick, and Irene Drozdz. The family would like to give a special thank you to our friend Cathy Graham and her therapy dogs, Jason and LeiLah. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 1, 2009 at 6:30 pm in the chapel of the B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 South Elm Street. Burial will be private. There are no calling hours.
