Obituary of Beverly Lathrop
WALLINGFORD�Beverly T. Lathrop, 84, of 10 Ashlar Village, formerly of Stonington, Connecticut, passed away on July 28, 2009, at Branford Hospice. She was the wife of the late John L. Lathrop.
Mrs. Lathrop had been a resident of Stonington for most of her life before moving to Florida, and then to Wallingford. She was a graduate of Joseph Lawrence School of Nursing in New London. She had been an executive secretary for her husband�s insurance business in Stonington. She was an active member of Calvary Church in Stonington, where she served on the Altar Guild for over 30 years, and where she and her husband had been co-directors for over 8 years. Since moving to Wallingford, she had been active with St. Paul�s Episcopal Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Nancy Chambers and son-in-law, Mieczyslaw Talipski , of Belle Harbor, New York, and Peggy Knets of Groton, her son and daughter-in-law, John and Barbara Lathrop of Wallingford, 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 57 years, John L. Lathrop, and her more recent special friend, Norton Bradley.
There will be a burial in the Memorial Garden, followed by a reception for friends and family at 2 PM on August 8, 2009 at Calvary Church, 27 Church St., Stonington, Connecticut.
There will also be a memorial gathering and reception at 2 PM on August 15, 2009 at Masonicare at Ashlar Village, Hartog Activity Center, Auditorium A.
