North Haven - Albert C. Hanson, Sr., 89, of North Haven, beloved husband of Eum-soon Hanson, and the late Shirlie (Bristol) Hanson, departed this life on Monday, July 13, 2009 at the Masonic Healthcare Center. Al was born on December 30, 1919 in East Haven, CT son of the late Alexander P. Hanson and Dorothy (Carlson) Hanson. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during World War II. Until his retirement he was employed with Marlin Firearms as a General Foreman. He was a Mason for more than 50 years and a member of the V.F.W. In his spare time he loved spending time on the water boating, and enjoyed a good Manhattan or an "occasional" martini. He enjoyed playing cards and loved good food and enjoyed a good sense of humor. In addition to his wife he will be sadly missed by his son, Albert C. Hanson Jr., and his wife Susan of Wallingford, he also leaves his daughter, Wendy Kudzma also of Wallingford, along with his grandchildren: Eric Kudzma and Kyrsten Pietrusewicz and her husband Matthew, and two great grandchildren, Casey and Dylan Pietrusewicz.
