CHESHIRE, Florence (Watson) Till, 86, of Cheshire and formerly of Wallingford departed this life on Saturday, July 4, 2009 unexpectedly. She was the wife of the former Robert Till. Florence was born in Branford on May 30, 1923, daughter of the late Louis F and Charlotte (Freeman) Watson. She had been employed as a substitute teacher at Lyman Hall High School in Wallingford and had been a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Wallingford. Mrs. Till is survived by a daughter, Marcia Till Groce and her husband Dennis of North East, PA; a sister, Joyce Potts of Cheshire; and two grandchildren, Geoffrey Groce and his wife Mary, and Peter Groce. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2009 from 3- 7 PM at B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 S. Elm Street, Wallingford. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2009 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel in Elim Park, 150 Cook Hill Road in Cheshire with Rev. Dee Anne Dodd of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Wallingford officiating. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
