Wallingford - John (Jean) Dalle Ave, 76, of Wallingford and formerly of Stamford, beloved husband of Provie (Providence) Dalle Ave, departed this life on Saturday, May 9, 2009 at Mid State Medical Center in Meriden, CT. John was born on October 27, 1932 in France, son of the late Anthony and Ida (Strazzabosco) Dalle Ave. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army serving during the Korean War. During the course of his career he worked on crafting the lens for the Hubble Space Telescope while being employed as an Assistant Physicist. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 48 years Provie Dalle Ave of Wallingford and his two children: Anne DeFusco and her husband Bill of Cheshire and Anthony Dalle Ave and his wife Diane of Orange. He also leaves his sister Madeleine Lambrelli of CO in addition to five grandchildren: Kate, Audrey, Matt, Steven and Maria along with numerous nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call on Tuesday, May 12, 2009 from 3 - 7 PM at the B. C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 S. Elm Street, Wallingford. The funeral service will begin on Wednesday, May 13th from the B.C. Bailey Funeral Home at 11 AM where a funeral procession will be formed to Most Holy Trinity Church in Wallingford for a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 PM. Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery in Wallingford.
