Wallingford- Renee Milcowitz, of Wallingford, beloved wife of the late Milton Milcowitz, departed this life on Monday, April 13, 2009 at the Masonic Healthcare Center. Renee was born in Great Barrington, MA, daughter of the late Solomon and Mollie (Zabzinski) Nager. She and her husband owned and operated the former Milton's Army and Navy Store (later known as Milton's Mens Shop) for over 46 years on Center Street in Wallingford. An extraordinar with puzzles, she daily attacked jigsaws, jumbles and croswords - she was also a wiz with numbers. She spent many of her adult years enjoying travel and playing Majong with her dear friends.. In her most recent years, her wonderful care-givers and friends kept her great company while she enjoyed reading, knitting and taking loving care of her two cats, Sugar and Spice in her own home. She will be deeply missed by her by her daughter Leah Stancil and her son-in-law Richard of Wallingford along with her granddaughter Marla Stancil of West Hartford. She is preceded in death by her son Sherman Milcowitz. The family will greet relatives and friends today, Tuesday, April 14th from 11 AM - 1 PM at B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 S. Elm Street, Wallingford. A funeral service will follow in the funeral home at 1 PM. Interment will follow in Beth Israel Cemetery in Wallingford.
