Isabella (Ella) DuBois, 97, of Wallingford, departed this life on Thursday, January 1, 2009 at Masonic Healthcare Center in Wallingford. She was the loving wife of the late Thomas F. DuBois. Isabella was born on April 18, 1911, in Tayport, Scotland a daughter of James and Isabella (Pryde) Robertson. She had been very active in First Congregational Chuch of Wallingford where she had served as a deacon and Sunday school teacher. She had been the oldest living member of the church. She also had been a Girl Scout leader, and a volunteer for the American Red Cross blood bank and the food bank. Prior to retirement, she had been a secretary for the Wallingford Family YMCA. She will be sadly missed by her son and daughter-in-law, T. James and Nancy J. DuBois of Tujunga, CA; her grandchildren: Greg A. DuBois of Centennial, CO and Lauren R. DuBois of San Diego, CA; and a great grandchild: Hartlee R. DuBois of Centennial, CO. She is also survived by her sister, Nan Thompson of Wallingford. A memorial service at the First Congregational Church of Wallingford will be at a later date to be announced in the Record-Journal.
