Melissa left this world under tragic circumstances but her life was not in vain. She was a precious child of God with a kind and thoughtful heart who loved animals, reading, and writing. Such a smile, she could brighten up even the darkest room. I choose to remember her in this way before the loving relationship of her parents went astray causing a separation in both distance and the subsequent realities of the broken world we live in. Regrettably, I too got caught up in this circumstance and stopped reaching out to her and letting her know she was loved and thought of often. Now I am comforted to know Melissa you are being held and fully wrapped in God's perfect love. No more pain, sorrow, anger, fear, or impossible and unfair choices to have to make, only bliss and innocence.
