Whiting, NJ - Josephine (Joan) Lineaweaver, 80, peacefully entered into Eternal Rest on Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at The Connecticut Hospice in Branford, Connecticut. Born on June 2, 1928 in West New York, NJ, she was the daughter of the late of Hugo and Mary (Dispenza) Gastaldi. Joan was a long-time employee of both Filtrene Manufacturing and Seiko companies, retiring in 1993. She was an accomplished life-long pianist, avid reader, a good friend to many, and an enthusiastic traveler during her retirement years. She will be sadly missed by her two children Patricia Lineaweaver Williams and her husband Jim of Wallingford, CT, and Jeffrey John Lineaweaver and his wife Kathy (Braband) of Greenfield Center, NY; her beloved grandchildren Lisa Williams Bartlett and her husband Lawrence of Wallingford, CT, and Kristen Williams Riccardi and her husband Jeffrey of Middletown, CT. She also leaves her precious and adorable great-granddaughters Halle Elizabeth and Hanna Elena Riccardi both of Middletown, CT. She is also survived by two brothers, Hugo Gastaldi and his wife Carol of Hobe Sound, FL, and Robert Gastaldi and his wife Deanna of Pearl River, NY, and Stuart, FL, as well as her niece, Linda Gastaldi Lynch and family of Chatham, NJ, and nephew Robert Gastaldi Jr. of Suffern, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated tenatively on Saturday, May 9, 2009 at 11:00 AM at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Whiting, NJ, directly followed by entombment in the Church's columbarium.
