Obituary of Concetta Rose DeStefano

Concetta Rose De Stefano, 84, of Wallingford, entered into heaven on Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at Masonic Healthcare Center in Wallingford. She was the loving wife of the late John De Stefano. Concetta was born on June 19, 1924, in New Haven, CT, a daughter of the late Salvatore and Maria (Gallichio) Rapacciuolo. She had been a parishoner of Our Lady of Fatima in Yalesville. She was very dedicated and loving of her family and had a great passion for cooking. All were always welcome at her table. She will be always loved and sadly missed by her son, Carmine De Stefano of Wallingford; her daughter Maria Piccolo and her husband David of Waterford; her grandchildren, Renee De Stefano-Griswold and her husband James of Wallingford, David J. Piccolo and Jessica of Waterford, and Krystal Piccolo and James of Ledyard; her great grandchildren, Cecelia, Kelsey, Tyler, Gianna, and Aidan; and her brothers and sister-in-law, Thomas Rapacciuolo of West Haven and Louis and Rita Rapacciuolo of Hamden and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her brother Joseph Rapacciuolo. Relatives and friends may call on Friday, November 28, 2008 at B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 South Elm Street, Wallingford from 4:00 - 8:00pm. The funeral cortege will leave the funeral home at 9:15 am on Saturday, November 29th for a mass of Christian burial at Our Lady of Fatima, 382 Hope Hill Rd., Yalesville.
