WALLINGFORD - William Charles Ordy, 86, of 46 South Cherry St., died October 2, 2008 at the MidState Medical Center. He was the former husband of Shirley Fry Hager. He was born in Butler, PA, June 18, 1922 a son of the late Steven C. and Katherine Keckowich Ordy. Until his retirement, he was a working foreman for the Catholic Cemeteries Association, working in Meriden and Wallingford. Mr. Ordy was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army. He is survived by a son, William S. Ordy of Brooklyn, NY, two daughters and three sons-in-law, Kathleen P. and Jonathan Smith of Wallingford, and Diane M. and Joseph Larson of Meriden and Richard Beaulieu of Hampton, NH, 7 grandchildren, Kristin Nicholaou, Julie Smith, Jeremy Smith, Daniel Beaulieu, Jaime Smith, April Larson and Ryan Larson, and 2 great grandchildren, Caitlin and Ryan Nicholaou. He was predeceased by a son, Patrick Ordy, a daughter Judith Beaulieu three brothers and three sisters. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 6th at 10:30 am at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 382 Hope Hill Rd., Yalesville. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Meriden. Friends may call at the B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 South Elm St., Wallingford on Sunday, October 5th from 3:00 to 6:00 pm.
