Wallingford - Robert S. Oros, 83, of Wallingford, departed this life on Tuesday, September 9, 2008 suddenly. Robert was born on August 20, 1925, in Wallingford, son of the late Joseph and Susan (Farkas)Oros. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, having served during World War II. He was employed previously at Wallace Silversmiths and White Way Laundry in Wallingford. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, softball, basketball, golfing and bowling. He was also a member of the Wallingford Silver Bullets Senior League as well as a member of the Wallingford American Legion and the V.F.W. He will be sadly missed by his brother Richard Oros and his wife Janice of Middletown. His sister-in-law Ruth Oros of Wallingford, in addition to numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by 4 sisters, and 4 brothers. Relatives and friends may call on Friday, September 12, 2008 from 3 - 6 PM at the B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 S. Elm Street, Wallingford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Church of the Resurrection in Wallingford on Saturday, September 13, 2008 at 10 AM. Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery.
