Wallingford - Robert Babb, 80, of Wallingford, beloved husband of the late Jacqueline (Burke) Babb, departed this life on Saturday, August 2nd at his home in Wallingford. Robert was born on December 4, 1927 in Benton, ME, son of the late Harold and Agnes (Grevois) Babb. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Robert worked as a butcher for First National Foods in Central Maine for many years.. He will be missed by his daughters, Brenda Smith and her husband Robert of Wells, ME, Sandra Babb of Augusta, ME, and three sons: Michael A. Babb of West Brook, ME, Edward J. Babb of Seattle, WA, and Robert L. Babb and his wife Beth of Gorham, ME. He also leaves 2 grandchilldren, Erika Smith and Ashley Babb. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 2nd at 12 PM at the Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Mt. Vernon Road, Augusta, ME.
