Obituary of Kathleen F. Paquette

WALLINGFORD - Kathleen F. Paquette, 69, departed this life on January 30, 2016 at the Masonic Hospital Center. She was born October 13, 1946, beloved daughter of the late Homer and Kathleen (Dayon) Paquette. She had been employed as an Administrative Secretary for Seiko in San Jose, California. Kathy (Kat as her family frequently called her, also owned a non-profit business in California called The Solar Cross. She taught Swedish Massage, Lymphatic Massage, Shiatsu, Japanese Reiki, Sports Massage, and Cranio-Sacral massage to her many students while treating her clients. She leaves to cherish her memory her brother Richard A. Paquette of Wallingford, Richard's children, Denise Grzybek and her Husband Vic Grzybek, their children Christine and Matthew Grzybek of Meriden, CT, her Nephew Richie Paquette and his wife Melissa Paquette Of Plantsville, CT and their son Jake Paquette. Her Brother Leonard Pierre Paquette, and his wife Mary Ellen Paquette of Southington, CT, and children Monique Paquette of Portland and her son Tyler, and Erich Paquette of Boston, MA. Kathy also leaves Her Sister Linda Howard and her daughter Tori Turcotte of East Granby, Linda's Son Jeremy Howard of Florida, her Sister Patience Morin of New Britain, CT, and her daughters Christy and Jen Morin. Her Brother-in-Law Glenn Bergman of Montville, CT and Nieces Marie Bronson and her daughter Megan, Sarah Hauta, and her husband Bobby Hauta, Bobby Jr., and Devin Hauta of Montville, CT, Rayallen Bergman, and Frank Bergman, also of Montville, CT. Kathleen also leaves behind her best friends Edward and Lois Bazar of Middlefield, CT, Samy Uhrland Gordon of Beaver Falls, PA, and Richard Jackson of Woodbridge, CT, her beloved Cousin Joyce Jones, The Dayon cousins and many other cousins. Kathleen was pre-deceased by her daughter Dawn Marie Sikorski DelVecchio and her Grandson Trevor DelVecchio. She also leaves two Grandchildren, Dean DelVecchio Jr., Demarie DelVecchio, and one Great Grandchild. Kathy will be remembered in our hearts as a vibrant and happy lady. She always loved children, laughter, conversation, and her many animals including her dog Minnie aka "Minnie the Moocher". Kathleen was a healer not only physically but mentally. She was always intense in her work and life. To know Kathy was to know laughter, love, friendship, loyalty, forgiveness, grace, love of Jesus, and a lady who always strived to be her best. She meets with her family back in spirit now but her legacy and love will always live in our hearts. She used every talent The Good Lord gave her. If you knew Kathy, you knew you were in front of someone who cared for you and everyone she knew. She would hug each of you here today if she could. Honoring Kathy by carrying her to her peaceful resting place at In Memoriam Cemetery in Wallingford will be Pallbearers: Ritchie Paquette, Erich Paquette, Matthew Grzybek, Rane Dayon, Lester Duchnowski, and Edward Bazar. There will be an invocation by Father Joe of St. Casimir's Church in Wallingford, CT and her friend Richard Jackson of Woodbridge, CT. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, 2 February 2016 at 11:00 AM at the In Memoriam Cemetery in Wallingford.
