John J. Notar Jr., 80, of Wallingford, beloved husband of the late Elizabeth "Bette" (Meagher) Notar, died on Friday, April 11, 2008 at Mid-State Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family. John was born on March 19, 1928 in Wallingford son the late John and Anna (Pranzitelli) Notar. He retired from Circuit Wise in North Haven, after 10 years. He will be sadly missed by his children: Rosanne Notar-Herb and her husband Barry of Hamden, Joanne Notar of Wallingford, John "Jack" Notar of Naugatuck, and Peter Notar of Wallingford. He also leaves his brother, Anthony Notarantonio of NY. He leaves two grandchildren: Gina Notar Gollareny and her husband Kerry of Wallingford, and Kayla Summer Notar of Wallingford, in addition to his sister-in-law, Joyce Meagher and brother-in-law, Henry Meagher, along with several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his son, Michael J. Notar, three sisters, and one brother. Relatives and friends may call on Monday, April 14, 2008 from 4 - 7 PM at the B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 S. Elm Street, Wallingford. A funeral service will be held at 10 AM on Tuesday at the Funeral Home, interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery in Wallingford.
