Wallingford - Shawn B. Bjornberg, 40, of Wallingford, departed this life on Monday, February 18, 2008 at Leeway House in New Haven, surrounded by his family and friends. Shawn was born on September 2, 1967 in New Haven, son of the late Eric and Ellen (Gage) Bjornberg. He attended Sheehan High School. Shawn loved cooking and worked for numerous restaurants, he was also a caregiver to his mother for many years. He enjoyed hiking and camping. Shawn also enjoyed vacationing and his trips to Aruba with his mother. He will be missed by his family and friends. Shawn leaves to survive him 7 siblings: Cheri Lanahan and her husband Bob, Todd Bjornberg and his wife Sharon, Kevin Bjornberg and his wife Shelia, Chris Bjornberg and his wife Stacey, Paul Bjornberg and his wife Carey, John Bjornberg and his wife Dae'Ellen all of Wallingford, along with Eric Bjornberg and his wife Mary of VA. He also leaves numerous nieces and nephews. Shawn is preceded in death by one brother, Keith Bjornberg. Relatives and friends may call on Thursday, February 21, 2008 from 4 - 7 PM, at the B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 S. Elm Street, Wallingford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 22, 2008 at 11:30 AM at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 382 Hope Hill Rd, Yalesville. Those attending the mass are asked to meet directly at the church. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
