MERIDEN – Stephen Edward Vergnetti, 33, departed this life unexpectedly on February 14, 2008 at his home. Stephen was born in Meriden on May 22, 1974, beloved son of Adrian Vergnetti-Stewart and the late Peter Vergnetti. Stephen had worked as a welder. He found great joy in his children whom he loved dearly and in his free time, he enjoyed fishing, hiking and the outdoors. In addition to his mother, he will be sadly missed by his step father, John Stewart Sr., formerly of Wallingford; two sons, Stephen and Joshua Vergnetti of Meriden; and two brothers, Timothy P. Vergnetti of Wallingford and Johnnie L. Stewart, Jr. and his wife Leah of Meriden. Friends may call on the family on Friday, February 22, 2008 from 4:00 – 8:00 pm at the B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 S. Elm St., Wallingford. Funeral services and burial will be private. It is suggested that contributions in his memory be made to the Meriden Humane Society, 22 East Rd, Meriden, CT 06450.
