John L. Williams, Sr., 90, of Wallingford and formerly of North Branford, entered into rest on Friday, December 28, 2007 at Elim Park in Cheshire. He was the loving husband of the late Marion (Fredericken) Williams John was born on September 25, 1917 in New Haven, CT, a son of the late Frederick and Cornelia (Andrews) Williams. He had been employed by Yale University and was a member of VFW, Post 8294 of North Branford Where he had been a Charter Member. He will be sadly missed by his son, Rev. John L. Williams, Jr., pastor of the Church of the Epiphany in Cheshire; a brother, Frank Williams of Vermont; and a sister, Mary Pella of Wallingford. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 31, 2007 at 3:00 pm at the Church of the Epiphany, 1750 Huckins Rd., Cheshire. Burial was private at the North Guilford Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to Holy Apostles College and Seminary, 33 Prospect Hill Rd., Cromwell, CT 06416 or the Franciscan Sisters of the Eucharist, 405 Allen Ave., Meriden, CT 06451. The B.C. Bailey Funeral Home of Wallingford has been entrusted with the arrangements.
