Obituary of Lillian Prowse

WALLINGFORD – Lillian Prowse, 94, of the Connecticut Baptist Home in Meriden, formerly of 104 Simpson Ave., died Monday, December 24, 2007 at the Mid-State Medical Center in Meriden. She was the wife of the late Leslie Prowse. She was born in Providence, RI, October 25, 1913 a daughter of the late Charles and Mary Ann Morrell Tongue. Until her retirement, she worked in the offices of the Wallace Silversmith in Wallingford. She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Senior Citizens Center, over 20 year member of Emblem Club of the Elks and The Wallingford Garden Club all in Wallingford. She is survived by a sister, Mildred Tongue of Wallingford. She was predeceased by a sister, Florence Schlenker. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 28, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 65 North Main St., Wallingford. Burial will be at In Memoriam Cemetery. There are no calling hours. If friends so desire, gifts in her memory may be made to the All Saints Memorial Fund, c/o St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 65 North Main St., Wallingford 06492.
