My condolences to Annie's family and friends. I'm a volunteer at the Masonic Home and also an Eastern Star member at Meridian Chapter in Meriden. Annie was the first resident I ever had the pleasure of helping. I remember bringing her to an OES event there and watched her eyes light up as she told me that as a Rainbow girl she couldn't wait to turn of age just so she could join Eastern Star. I will not forget the doll that hung outside her room, and as we got near she would always say, "That's my room right there, with the doll outside the door." Annie always had a big smile for me and was always a joy to be around and I tried to bring her to as many events as possible whenever I volunteered. It was sad to find that over the past few months she was not able to go as often. I was very nervous about becoming a volunteer but Annie brought me such joy the first time I met her, that I was very glad I did.
