Obituary of Charles Williams
Charles F. Williams, 94, of Wallingford, beloved husband of the late Victoria (Wanat) Williams, departed this life on Monday, November 19, 2007 at his home.
Charles was born on December 17, 1912 in Wallingford, son of the late Charles and Sophie (Mihalik) Williams. He was a veteran of World War II having served honorably in the United States Army.
For well over 30 years he was employed with International Silver as an engraver. He was a communicant of Ss. Peter and Paul's Church in Wallingford. In his spare time he enjoyed being outdoors and was an avid hunter. He enjoyed gardening, working on his vehicles, especially his "54" Plymouth. Mostly he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
He will be sadly missed by his devoted daughters: Patricia Vekony and her husband William of Yalesville, Marilyn Hayden and her husband Terrence of Wallingford, and Barbara Sandillo of Wallingford. He also leaves seven grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held privately at the B.C. Bailey Funeral Home in Wallingford with Fr. Ronald Zepecki officiaiting. Interment was in Ss. Peter and Paul Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Connecticut Humane Society, 701 Russell Road, Newington, CT 06511.
