Vernon C. Tryon, 77, of Wallingford, formerly of West Haven and Milford, departed this life on Tuesday, October 9, 2007 at the Masonic Healthcare Center. Vernon was born in New Haven, April 11, 1930, son of the late George W. and Lillian (Parker) Tryon. He was an accountant at Armstrong Rubber and later at the Sargent Co. in New Haven for many years. He was a resident of West Haven most of his life later moving to Milford. Vernon was a graduate of West Haven High School, class of 1949, and attended Quinnipiac College and Stone Academy. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict having served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of the West Haven Congregational Church, Annawon Lodge # 115, AF & AM and the Royal Arch Masons all of West Haven. Mr. Tryon is survived by his half-brother, Learned Bulman of Rockaway Township, NJ. A graveside service celebrating Vernon's life will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, October 18, 2007at Beaverdale Memorial Park. The B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 South Elm St. of Wallingford has been entrusted with of arrangements.
