James A. Grace, 91, of Wallingford, beloved husband of the late Ruth M. Grace, departed this life on Saturday, September 1, 2007 at the Masonic Healthcare Center. James was born on March 11, 1916 in New Haven, CT, a son of the late Ancelum and Edith (Judson) Grace. James was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Wallingford and a member of Meridian Chapter No. 8 and Mystic Chapter No. 2 O.E.S. of Meriden and North Haven respectively. He was a member of the Wallingford Grange and a life member of the American Red Cross. He was a member of Most Masonic bodies in both York Rite and Scottish Rite Masonry as well as the Shrine. In 1988 he served distiguishly as the Worthy Grand Patron of the Grand Chapter of CT, O.E.S. In 1978 he presided as the Right Eminent Grand Commander of the Grand Commandery Knights of Templar of CT. He will be sadly missed by his daughter, Dorette Daniels and her husband Robert of Milford, Two sons: Thomas Grace of Strafford, VT and Ronald Grace of Putnam, CT. He also leaves two great grandchildren and four grandchildren. He was the oldest of four all previously deceased. Relatives and friends may call on Tuesday, September 4, 2007 at the B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 S. Elm Street, Wallingford from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, September 5, 2007 at the funeral home.
