WALLINGFORD - Charlotte E. Bailey, 94, of Wallingford and formerly of Vero Beach, FL, departed this life on Wednesday, July 18, 2007 at the Masonic Health Care Center. Charlotte was born on September 14, 1912 in New Haven, CT daughter of the late Norman and Jessie (Osborne) Robinson. On April 28, 1934 she married Benjamin C. Bailey, they spent over 60 years of loving marriage together. until he preceded her in death in 1994. Charlotte is a former member of the Wallingford Garden Club and the Mizpah Chapter 37, Order of the Eastern Star. She will be cherished in heartfelt memory as a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She will be sadly missed by her devoted children: Barbara VanBuiten and her husband Martin Sr. of Florida, Miriam Willett and her husband Richard of Old Lyme, CT, and Robert B. Bailey and his wife Darlene of Wallingford. Charlotte also leaves her 9 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her brother, Porter Robinson, and sisters, Eunice Hadley, Adelma Messenger, and Norma Squires. The family of Mrs. Bailey will receive relatives and friends during visitation on Friday, July 20, 2007 from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM at the B. C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 South Elm Street, Wallingford. The funeral service will be private and at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in the In Memoriam Cemetery.
