Constance Fairchild, 83, of Wallingford, departed this life on Wednesday, June 13, 2007 at Connecticut Hospice in Branford, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Justin E. Fairchild. Constance was born in New Haven, March 18, 1925, daughter of the late James and Anna (Albinger) Tobin. Until her retirement, she was an executive secretary at Eyelet Specialty Company in Wallingford. She also volunteered at the American Red Cross for many years and belonged to many ladies golf leagues. She will be sadly missed by her two sons: Douglas Fairchild and his wife Sherrie of Wallingford, and Stephen Fairchild of Wallingford. She also leaves two beloved granddaughters: Lindsay and Kristen Fairchild. She is preceded in death by a brother, Edward Tobin and a sister, Kathleen Ford. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 19, 2007 at 11:00 AM at St. John's Cemetery, Christian Street, Wallingford. At the family's request there will be no calling hours. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 South Elm Street of Wallingford has been entrusted with arrangements.
