Sylvia Nurick, , age 89, formerly of the Town of Newburgh, New York, died on June 6, 2007 at the Curtis Home in Meriden. She was the wife of the late Samuel Nurick. Mrs. Nurick was born in Newburgh on July 7, 1917, a daughter of the late Jacob and Ida Aronchick. She and her husband were the well known proprietors of S. Nurick , Jewelers in Newburgh for over 45 years before their retirement in 1985. Until moving to Connecticut in 2001, Sylvia was a life-long resident of Newburgh. She is survived by two sons and a daughter: Lloyd Nurick and his wife, Verna, of Wallingford: Daniel Nurick and his wife, Judy, of Minneapolis, MN; and Sharon Keizer and her husband, Richard, of Minnetonka, MN. Mrs. Nurick also had 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Funeral services will held on June 7, 2007 at 2:00 PM at Agudas Israel Synagogue, 290 North Street, Newburgh, NY. Burial will be at Agudas Israel Cemetery in New Windsor, NY. Contributions in her memory may be made to the synagogue. The will family will observe a period of mourning on Friday, June 8th and Sunday June 9th at 108 Colonial Hill, Wallingford, CT. The B.C.
