Esther M. Tremper, 89, of Wallingford, beloved wife of the late Monroe Tremper, departed this life on Monday, April 16, 2007 at the Masonic Healthcare Center. Esther was born on January 24, 1918, in Meriden, CT, daughter of the late Adolph and Lillian (Gavin) Sweeney. She and her husband owned and operated the Fairview Dairy and Ice Cream Bar for many years together in Wallingford. Esther will be remembered most by her family as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who always had time for her family. She will be sadly missed by her daughters: Susan DelGrego and her husband Andrew of Cheshire, and Donna Pietruski and her husband Ronald of Wallingford. Four grandchildren: Jamie, Scott, Mark, and Courtney, along with 5 great grandchildren. Esther is preceded in death by one brother, Charles Sweeney, and two sisters: Marie Sweeney and Pauline Tremper. A Memorial Service celebrating her life will be held on Thursday, April 19, 2007 at 11:30 AM at the 1st Congregational Church in Wallingford. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
