John R. McPherson, 76, of 55 Poole Road departed this life on Saturday, March, 17, 2007 at his residence. He was the beloved husband of Mildred (Cruz) McPherson. John was born in Jackson, KY, June 27, 1930 a son of the late John J. and Amanda Turner McPherson. Until his retirement, he was a registered engineer at O.Z. Gedney Company in Terryville. He was a member of Washington Lodge AF & AM in Lexington, MA. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, John J. McPherson of SC and Robert W. McPherson of North Haven, a daughter, Catharine McPherson of Wallingford, four brothers, six sisters, two grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. Services and interment are private and at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. If friends so desire, gifts in his memory may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O.
