WALLINGFORD - Raymond Sypek, 89, departed this life on April 4, 2016 at the Masonic Healthcare Center. He was the loving husband of Veronica (Aivaz) Sypek. Raymond was born in Wallingford on September 11, 1926 to Walter and Sophie (Galus) Sypek. He was of the US Navy having served during World War II. Until his retirement, he had worked as a machinist at Pratt & Whitney. In addition to his wife, Raymond is cherished in the memories of his daughter Diane Longley; grandchildren: Amanda and James Longley; and great grandchildren: Jayleigh and Austin Butler. The family will receive visitors on Sunday, April 10th from 2:00 - 3:00 PM at the B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 South Elm St., Wallingford.
