Tony was a great guy that I met at the ham club in 2005. His callsign, W1TE, one that he selected for himself recently, is unusual in that the suffix T and E can be sent with just one "dahhh" for the "T" and one "dit" for the "E" in Morse code!
He enjoyed Morse code (CW) and also operatng 'phone (SSB) but he understood the advantages of the CW style for contacting DX (long distance) stations all over the world.
I believe that he is now a radio wave himself and the memory of his enthusiasm and love of our radio hobby will stay with me.
