SOUTH MERIDEN – Patricia A. Buchanan, 75, of Wallingford and Norwich Lake, Huntington, MA died Tuesday, November 14, 2006 at the MidState Medical Center in Meriden. She was the wife of Robert O. Buchanan. She was born in Hartford, November 6, 1931 the daughter of the late Francis "Duke" Fleming and Vera Siswick Fleming. Pat was a resident of Wallingford for 50 years before moving with Bob to South Meriden in 2003. She summered each year in her dearly loved cottage overlooking Norwich Lake. Until her retirement, she was employed as the school secretary at Celentano School in New Haven. She was co-founder of the Gaylord Hospital Pink Ladies and also co-founder of Holiday Giving in Wallingford. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Robert O. Buchanan, Jr. of Baltic, Kevin Buchanan and wife Julie of Old Lyme, two daughters, Lori Buchanan and partner Maria Ryder of New Gloucester, ME and Lynn Colicchio and husband Nick of Shrewsbury, MA, her daughter-in-law, Abbe Buchanan of Wallingford and 6 grandchildren, Jennifer Larson and husband Trent, Melissa Buchanan, Tori and Liz Buchanan and Connor and Paige Colicchio and her dear friend, Sammy Freer of Wallingford. Friends may call at the B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 South Elm Street, Wallingford, CT on Thursday from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Friday at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be private.
