WALLINGFORD - Marilyn S. Freer, 85, of Wallingford, passed away peacefully in her home on March 23, 2016. She was born in Rochester, NY, August 16, 1930, daughter of the late Chester and Elizabeth Toung Salmon. Marilyn was the office manager for Whitten, Horton & Gibney Accounting until she retired in 1999. She continued to do accounting work, volunteered at the senior center, and was very active with Silver Sneakers. She is survived by three daughters, Elizabeth Matrian and husband Charles of East Granby, Gayle Morico and husband Tony of North Branford and Kimberly Handera and husband George of Cheshire, a brother, Douglas Salmon of Huntsville, AL and 6 grandchildren. She was predeceased by her siblings, Charles Salmon and Marjorie Niver. Relatives and friends may call from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM on Saturday April 2, 2016 at the B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 South Elm St. in Wallingford. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the funeral home at 12:00 PM.
