Obituary of Ruth Howe
HIGGANUM - Ruth I. Howe, 95, of Higganum, formerly of Wallingford died Monday, Sept 18th, 2006 at Middlesex Hospice. She was the wife of the late Clarence Howe.
She was born in South Meriden, March 16, 1911 a daughter of the late Minor and Ethel Disbrow Ives.
Mrs. Howe had been a lifelong resident of Wallingford until 2000 when she moved to Higganum and made her home with granddaughter, Janet Przybylowicz and family. She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Wallingford.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Jean and Peter Cookley of Southington, Ct., Mary and Robert Gilpatrick of Westminster, CO., a sister, Annah Cyphers of Cheshire, 8 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Alice Parmelee, and a grandson, David Parmelee.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 23rd at 11:00 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 65 North Main St., Wallingford. Burial will be private. There are no calling hours. If friends so desire, gifts in her memory may be made to the Kelly-Parmelee Children's Education Fund, c/o State Police Credit Union, 300 Research Pkwy, Meriden, Ct., 06450 or All Saints Memorial Fund, c/o St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 65 North Main St, Wallingford, Ct., 06492. The B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 South Elm Street is in charge of arrangements.
