Holly, עייה, R.I.P., was a magnificent woman who loved others as herself and put others before herself. She had an amazing smile that could light every streetlamp in New York and the most infectious laugh. She possessed the most devoted love for her children, speaking of them daily. She cared for everyone, especially the homeless of New Britain, and was one of the most affectionate people I have ever known. It is such a blessing to have been loved by Holly and to love her. She was as gorgeous inside as she was outside which epitomizes her depth of character. A few weeks ago as we were downtown during our last snowfall, there was a homeless friend outside, and even though we had left home without her having a chance to put a jacket on to go to the store, she insisted that we wait and keep him company until the overflow shelter opened so he would not be alone in the cold!!! When I insisted that she return home to put on a jacket she protested rebukingly for the fact that I knew the worthiness of what she was doing as I am the Homeless Advocate and Community Outreach Coordinator for two local non-profits!!! I was astonished and convicted by her absolute unselfishness and beauty of heart. She was amazing and I will miss her!!! May her memory be a blessing forever to us all and may she Rest In Paradise.
