WALLINGFORD – John J. Horvath, Jr., 52, of 14 Lincoln Dr., formerly of 790 Riverside Dr., New York, NY, died Monday, December 19, 2005 at the CT Hospice in Branford after a long illness. He was born in Meriden, April 10, 1953 a son of John J. Horvath, Sr. and Genevieve Jasinski Horvath. John was a graduate of Lyman Hall High School and received his Master's degree from Emerson College in Boston. He spent 20 years as an actor, singer and director in musical theatre. In addition to his parents he is survived by two sisters, Anne Miller and her husband Mark of Wallingford and Joan Daft and her husband Fred of Hoosick Falls, NY, two nephews, Tim Miller and his wife Holly, and Joe Daft one niece Laura Mathews and her husband Travis and a great nephew, Logan Mathews, and his aunts and uncle Ethel and Stanley Novak and Mary Gromala. A memorial service in celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of the B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 South Elm St. Burial will be private. There are no calling hours. It is suggested that gifts in his memory be made to the Joe Daft Education Fund c/o Trustco Bank, 47 Main St., Hoosick Falls, NY 12090.
